Synthetic Filter Cloth (Chamber Filter Press)
Spirofil supplies and installs a range of synthetic filter cloth inserts for filter presses (also called chamber filter presses or plate filter presses). The delivery program is suitable for most situations for which a chamber filter press is used. Some examples are:
- Traditional filter cloth
- Filter cloth for a membrane plate
- Filter cloths with edge finishes and / or reinforcements
- Drapes for drainage

What are synthetic filter cloths made of?
Filter cloth is a woven cloth fabric based on monofilament and / or multifilament yarn. A mono-filament thread has a smooth surface. This makes an excellent cake release possible and a low retention capacity of particles.

Features
A multi-filament thread has a good yield capacity and a reasonable cake release. However, the combination of more (entangled) small wires results in a high tensile strength. Combinations of threads are mono-mono filament, mono-multi filament and multi-milti filament. Types of weaves include plain weave, twill weave and the so-called satin weave.
A multifilament insert ensures good retention of solids and a reasonable release of the cake. The dust thread consists of different individual threads that lead to a high tensile strength. Different combinations of mono-monofilament, mono-multifilament and multi-multifilament are possible. Available weaving patterns are plain weave fabric, twill weave and satin weave.
The combination of mono-multifilament, in a flexible satin weave, is widely used because this combination offers high strength, excellent cake release and easy cleaning.
Mainly used materials are polypropylene, polyester and polyamide. The cloths are thermally fixed. This process increases the stability of the fabric. At the end, the fabric is cut with CAD / CAM and laser equipment to obtain a high standard product.
