At Spirofil, we go beyond merely supplying high-quality wear parts and components; we also maintain your dewatering installation. Keeping dewatering installations continuously operational is our daily task. This includes belt filter presses, belt thickeners, and chamber filter presses used for solid-liquid dewatering and drying.

Advice

Our team inspects your dewatering installation on-site, preferably while it is in operation, and prepares a report with recommendations for your review. In addition to regular maintenance, we can also make recommendations for optimizing your machines or any necessary renovations and improvements.

Additionally, you can have the dewatering properties of your sludge stream tested in our own laboratory. Practical tests can be performed at your location using your installation. We look forward to discussing this with you!

Malfunctions

Our emergency service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Our team assists in resolving a malfunction and can immediately repair defective items related to pneumatics, hydraulics, or control systems if necessary. Our team can also replace parts, including wear parts such as filter cloths, which include spiral belts, woven belts, or pin seam belts.

Operator Training

Spirofil offers training for your operators to keep your dewatering installations operational. This requires the right expertise! We approach these trainings practically, with extensive theoretical background also covered. This can range from a basic explanation to a customized program specifically tailored to your type of machines and processes. We look forward to discussing this with you!

The Importance of Maintenance?

Using the correct filter cloth and proper usage are essential in a dewatering installation. Since our founding in 1992, Spirofil has built significant expertise in selecting the right filter medium. This has led to our preference for using plastic spiral belts for a belt filter press or dewatering tables.

A crucial factor in a dewatering and drying process is the optimal functioning of wear parts, which must be periodically replaced through normal use. This includes items like baffles, scrapers, support strips, roller coverings, bearings, guides, cylinders, spray lances, and nozzles. The filter cloth, also known as the filter belt (plastic spiral belts and woven belts), and pin seam belts are also wear parts. Besides wear parts, we can quickly supply common components that occasionally need replacement, and we can manufacture, repair, or customize parts in our own workshop.

Plastic Spiral Belts

In a belt filter press or belt thickeners, we usually use our own special spiral belts. Spirofil is a pioneer in the plastic spiralized dewatering belt, having started using it first in 1992. This dewatering belt has excellent dewatering properties and, after several innovative adjustments, is highly suitable for belt filter presses and dewatering tables. Spirofil’s plastic spiral belts are very stable and can be endlessly installed.

The introduction of our special spiral belt has led to a revolutionary shift from woven belts to spiral belts in the Netherlands, Belgium, and other parts of Europe. Our spiral belts combine high strength with good water permeability, are stable under heat and high humidity, and have a long lifespan. Spirofil supplies the right spiral belt for every situation!

Plastic Woven Belts and Pin Seam Belts

For belt filter presses and dewatering tables, we sometimes also use woven mesh belts, usually outside the scope of a spiral belt. The choice of a woven belt depends on various factors such as:

The fineness of the sludge (wet residue)
The applied flocculant

Woven mesh belts combine a high filtration rate with very good strength properties.

Pin seam belts also have a woven structure and are used in chamber filter presses or membrane filter presses. Technical information about this type of filter cloth is available upon request.

Gearboxes and Pumps

Spirofil specializes in maintaining and adjusting gearboxes, pumps, and associated electric motors. Aligning shafts using laser equipment is also possible.

Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and PLC Technology

Industrial pneumatics/hydraulics and PLC technology are used for driving mechanical parts or controlling a dewatering installation. Maintaining pneumatic installations is our specialty, with a focus on long lifespan. Our internal expertise is complemented by the knowledge of reliable partners.
