Synthetic Woven Belts
Spirofil supplies and installs woven synthetic belts or belt filters, in particular for (sludge) dewatering, drying and general transport in many industries. Applications include:
- Dewatering of inert sludge from quarries or mines
- Dewatering of biological or chemical sludge from municipality sewage plants
- Pressing of grapes, fruit and others

Our plastic or synthetic belts are made from special yarns of 100% first-quality polyester. Each belt is heat-fixed. This process increases the stability and service life of the belt. Spirofil can supply the right belt for every application. Most work options are fulfilled by standard products.

Features
Characteristics and advantages of plastic woven belts are: very fine filtration, high strength, smooth surface, air permeability, stable heat and moisture resistance, minimal elongation (elongation) and long service life. Available in widths up to 6 m, standard prefabricated seams, pH range from 2 to 8.
Plastic woven belts are not endless, but are provided with a special seam (clipper) finish of plastic or metal. Below you can see some examples.
A special type of synthetic woven belt is the so-called double woven belt. This belt consists of two layers: a supporting layer and a filter layer. These types of belts are mainly used for solid / liquid filtration in petrochemical, chemical and (waste) water treatment.
Advantages of the double-woven belts are: good mechanical properties, long service life, high flow rate, good cake release, easy to clean, stable heat behavior and thermal expansion.
Our woven belts can also be equipped with guide strips or gear drives for very specific applications.
