What are plastic filter cloths made of?

A filter cloth is a woven fabric made from mono- or multifilament yarn. A monofilament yarn has a smooth surface, which ensures excellent cake release and low particle retention capacity.

We offer a complete range of filter cloths, available on order. Feel free to contact us for advice!

Features

A multifilament filter cloth has good retention of solids and reasonable cake release. The combination of multiple small threads results in high tensile strength. Various combinations of threads are possible, such as mono-monofilament, mono-multifilament, and multi-multifilament. Types of weave patterns include plain weave, twill weave, and satin weave.

The combination of mono-multifilament in a flexible satin weave is widely used because it offers high strength, excellent cake release, and easy cleaning.

The primary materials used are polypropylene, polyester, and polyamide. The filter cloths are thermally fixed, which increases the fabric’s stability. Finally, the filter cloths are cut using CAD/CAM and laser equipment to achieve a high-quality end product.
